Crickey! You’re turning these out at a rapid rate! Another lovely one.
LOL π Thank you so much Bekki. To be fair they are only small and I have always worked quite fast with oils, I feel like my painting arm is loosening up a bit after the last week π
It certainly looks like it is π
It’s beautiful!
Thank you so much Joanna! Like many people, I do love big red poppies and I found it quite cute the way the buds nestled into the already open flowers π
I’m one of those in the ‘Don’t know much about art …but I know what I like’ brigade
and I’m loving your art, I think there is a compliment in there somewhere LOL
Ooo! I’m in that brigade too LOL π Thanking you most kindly for the compliment too π
Just out of interest have you studied art at all ?? or are you just super gifted, your perspective is spot on, and your little masterpieces all appear balanced
Nope!!…the only art I ever studied was for six months up to O’level standard (back in those days) after getting banished from the German class, all those words were so long I could never get my head or tongue around them!! So, the headmaster suggested I pick something I could just jump into for the extra exam – so I chose art! π Then I left school and education for good! I’m afraid it’s all self taught π
Wow just 6 months of art education ? you obviously have a natural gift, that makes your masterpiece more impressive, keep up the good work π
After joining the class of 28 other art students, who had all been there for the whole five years, I was amongst only three who gained a pass at O’level…It did make me wonder why I had been torturing myself for 4 1/2 years with German and almost sending ‘Paddy’ My old headmaster and teacher insane trying to help me LOL π
And now for the burning question …can you speak any German ????
kannst du Deutsch sprechen? Ich habe heute im Garten….die dazu neigt, den BlΓΌten ;-)! Oh……! the power of the internet…!!! To your posed question…No! ….;-( absolutely not, what a failure I am LOL Shame really, as Jen’s husband to be ( he proposed π !!!) did German and Russian at Cambridge – we could have had a jolly old chat π
….but, I did get to spend a lot of time finding out about my headmaster – what a lovely (and very patient) guy he was!
Man Alive .. you are going to be A MOTHER -IN LAW !!!!!!!!!!!!! congratulations to Jen and her Betrothed, who cares if you can speak German after that wonderful news
I will certainly pass on your congratulations – thank you so much :-D!!! I have obviously hit that time of life when you start getting bestowed with new titles, first Great Aunt (wow that makes me sound sooo old!) and now..Mother-in-Law π Can’t wait to see them this week – I’ve even bought balloons!
Great Aunt…now if that doesn’t conjure up an image of a shawl, a pair of pince nez and a talent for crafts I don’t know what does LOL OMGoodness I’ve just described myself
*You made me spit out me stout lafffffing!!!!!!!* LOL LOL LOL π Now I’ll have to bring washday to t’morrow – me pinny looks a reet mess! ;-/
I do love your poppies! Another wonderful painting. π
Thank you so much Jackie! I’m so pleased you like them π
Beautiful! β€
