Another Unique reversible design Tote/Bag..inspired by a colourful collection of more offcuts… rediscovered…stored in, yet another, little bag!

A smart, unique, versatile reversible cotton patchwork quilted Tote/Bag. Working my way through small offcuts (and I do mean small, less than 3 inch squares), determined to give them a purpose, rather than allow them to become landfill! Seemingly, they are useless bits of cotton fabric, until you team them up with other coordinating bits and suddenly……A new creation!! 😀

Two very different, sensible (no little sheep in sight 😉 !!!) designs on one tote bag, all brought together by a simple black, white and purple stripy cotton material 🙂

For a totally different colourful look, my little offcuts fill their own little windows!

Of course, my tote wouldn’t be complete without one of my internal multi pocket features – so, keeping it simple but still coordinated, a double pocket, one with a zip and then a super set of shoulder/cross body straps A magnetic clasp finishes off perfectly the hand quilted stylish tote bag! Two looks for the price of one – what could be better?! 😉

”I’M on the fence about IT Betty…..!!”                                                                     Here we go again….with another unique Tote Bag – this time with ‘Knitting Sheep in Boots’ 🙂  …….I’m starting to think, maybe….I need therapy, to move on from my little sheep creations – BUT, on the upside I found another use for some more little coloured wooden flower buttons!! 🙂

The front of this little handy tote has a central patchwork landscape panel with hand appliquéd ‘gossiping sheep’ – both whiling their time away, knitting from the little lamb in the sheep dip – It would seem…..It’s purple season in the sheep fashion world 😉
The addition of some coordinating, little painted wooden buttons, finishes off the cute countryside scene perfectly !

A perfect little novelty bag, especially as the lambing season is only weeks away – It’s sure to put a Spring in Your Step with all its cute colourful quirkiness !! Oh…But I couldn’t leave it there….. A little design for the reverse, and of course, another for my inside multi-pocket 😀

Personalised Designer Custom Order 36” x 48” Lap Quit. Especially designed and handmade for my Dear Friend Jackie! I tried to capture all the feelings and emotions within the handmade appliquéd lady of Jackie herself ‘lostinthot’ within nature and also added a couple of ”Flutterbies” and her loving cat too!

 

YAY! Firstly, I want to Thank Jackie immensely, for commissioning me to design and make her two (36” x 48”) custom order quilts! Not only that, but with trusting me completely, with all the design ideas, fabrics and colours, she really was in the dark from placing the order to seeing the final finished product, in both cases!

Jackie,  asked me to make a lap quilt for her cherished, two year old granddaughter with ‘Elephants’ as the theme and one for herself, with full free reign!!! Wow! I was sooo excited and a little scared too, what if she didn’t like them? But, thankfully, Jackie absolutely loved them both when they arrived in the US yesterday! 🙂  In fact, I have taken this ‘quote’ directly from her email,

”They look even better than they did in the pictures – your work is superb!!!” 

I was very very happy, as you can see, 🙂 🙂 :-)!!! Though, to be fair, my photography does leave a lot to be desired!

It was a fantastic opportunity for me and I loved every minute, from the first pencil sketch design to buying whatever palette of colours I chose, making all the double layered,  ‘turned out’, applique pieces,  right through to the very last quilting stitch!
