‘Sunrise At The Barn’

This watercolour was more of a doodle than based on any actual scene. I was playing around with colours which seem to arise on a cold misty dawn. In my imagination this is how the painting played out, connecting everything together by using the same colours throughout, from the sky, the trees across the barn and down to the ground. The pathway between the barbed wire fencing I added later to give the painting more perspective. Quite pleased with my imaginary doodle!

‘Cycling in Macclesfield’

This is a friend of my Daughter cycling his way through the Macclesfield countryside. I have also painted this picture, again in watercolour, with a created imaginary snowy scene! (See ‘Cycling in Snowy Macclesfield’ – also in Landscapes)
