Careful what you say you like !!!!!! As it was my father-in-law’s birthday a couple of days ago, I had no idea what to get him as a gift 
? At 70+ what do you want/need I thought??? Having asked the question… ‘Is there something special you would like?’ and getting ‘nothing really…’ as the response! I decided to go with one of the many made up things I had, a little fabric collage that he had really taken a shine to when I made it Not something I would have thought was up his street…but, he really took a fancy to it for some reason…? So, after buying a little frame and a bottle of JD’s I seemed to make my father-in-law very happy…..probably more to do with the JD’s, though the little framed collage did take centre stage on the coffee table too!
With Christmas looming…..I can’t seem to concentrate on any preparations at all until all the birthdays and other celebrations are over!
A few weeks ago, our family had the good news of learning that our Nephew and his Wife are expecting their first child 🙂 ….Only, it turns out to be not one but two…twins!!! Awesome 🙂 I already knew that their theme for their baby was to be Peter Rabbit and have intentions in the next couple of months to make a little pram/cot quilt to go along with this, though as everyone was knitting little bootees and the like as congratulation gifts, I decided to make a little fabric collage instead. Sarah, was thrilled with the framed result…I hope she will be as pleased when I make the little quilts-not that she knows my intentions yet?!? Maybe, I should move the creations forward as there needs to be two now ;-)!
