OMGoodness! I’ve been MIA again for some while…….once again!! Life can be so hectic at times Hope you are all well and doing fine in the world 😉

Still, my crafting and creativity continue…must catch up soon with all the new makes!!…but, just yesterday, an exciting development!! A most lovely person asked if they could include one of my ‘Sheep Knitting’ collages on a You Tube post??! Why, Of Course!!! All publicity, is good ;-D! Here’s something new! I thought I would try painting just with pure bleach on a brush over black card. This was the result – I had no idea where this was going and just went with the flow, obviously I only had one chance at this, bleach and black card are not favourable to mistakes!! Maybe it is something I will have as my new favourite thing to practice, though not too often,. as I did have a sore throat after this attempt from the bleach fumes in a sunny conservatory

Life seems so hectic at the moment, I just don’t seem to be able to catch up with myself, I am producing so many different things craft and art wise, for so many different events I have almost forgotten to put them on my Etsy site or Word press, I hope to catch up in the next few days. Christmas looming, craft event people phoning to book me, spontaneous new ideas, combined with me playing with new designs for the fabric I bought last week all means I have little or no time to sleep—-So much to do and create!!!!!!!! Goodness, help my hoover, when I eventually get around to tidying… NO forget that idea, that can definitely wait……anyways here’s the first attempt with bleach and black card – whatever you read into it!

Crazy Chicken Cushion Cover

Here’s another of my Crazy Knitting Chickens Design Cushion Cover. After hand appliquéing all the small cotton fabrics to form the chicken sitting on her clutch of eggs, I selected highly contrasting reds and greens. By adding simple embroidery for legs and knitting needles, I then gave the old dear a pair of brass ring ‘specs’ and a frilly little cotton garter! The whole panel was then hand quilted and Old buttons were used for the eyes and finshing touches

Piggy and his pillow!

Meet Piggy and his pillow another of my ‘Doorstop Dumpies’. A substantial, but nevertheless cute and colourful character. I thought, even though he is on my front page, it was time he had his own post. I gave him a little pillow, not just to make him a little more different from my other pigs, but in this instance to hold his arms together too. Being so well stuffed they do tend to want to welcome you with open arms! as You will see with  Doorstop Dumpies – ‘Hamish’ – Doorstop Dumpy. As ever, no two will ever be the same!! ‘Dillon the Dog’

Here is another of my doodle designs for hand applique.  I always like to stay original and create my own patterns. This little dog character cushion cover was created at the same time as  Cushion Covers – ‘Dennis the Dog’ – Handmade, Designed Patchwork and Quilted Cushion Cover . Whilst some of the patchwork cottons are the same the two are still quite different and definitely unique.  Once ‘Dillon’ had been hand stitched to the centre panel, coordinating border strips were added, the whole front panel was then hand quilted and matching old buttons added for decoration. Another characterful feature cushion cover!

Black and White Confusion?? ”Forgotten Dreams”

Yesterday I posted Abstract – ‘Abstractly Blue’ – Pencil Crayon Abstract which The Rag Tree/Music&Meaning reposted, much to my delight. It did seem to appeal to quite a few people so, in the interest of keeping my friends happy, I decided to post another example of my bizarre works! They are usually done in a bored moment as a form of doodling, though I never consider where it is going or plan it out, I just let my mind fill the page as it goes. That way I get a surprise at the end too! Other examples I have already posted in this style of Abstract  are;
