“Random Emergings…of Black” Copyright Caren Taylor 2017 Another of my pencil crayon doodles on 20″ x 16 inch textured watercolour paper
A new piece for my exciting series..entitled “Random Emergings…of Black” A unique quirky Original pencil crayon abstract These pieces I find so relaxing to do and never know what their outcome will be until I’m finished?! Seems there are still many more random things in my head awaiting space somewhere on new artworks Hope you enjoy exploring what I hope will twist and turn your eye…wondering…it’s a…. this way…Or…If looked at another way…it’s a…..!! Lot’s of changing perceptions and perspectives 🙂
I absolutely love this series of art works, just one look is never enough as with each sweep of the canvas something new pops out 🙂
Even I keep finding new things too….which really amazes me as I should really know what is already there LOL
LOL perhaps now you look at your work not as an artist once it’s finished but as someone who can just revel in the piece its self ….if that makes sense ~ I know what I mean even if it sounds garbled to you
My garbled brain made perfect sense of what you’re suggesting..and, I totally agree…I think I am now taking more pleasure in these new artworks (probably an age thing – who knows??) I think their complexity is a challenge and a reward to me at the same time 🙂 Is it sad that I keep looking at them and smiling along my own path of discoveries LOL I could draw several landscapes per day, but so could many others, of the same scene, though I feel these are a bit more special, even though of simplistic shapes, overall they make for a more complex finished unique piece….OK that’s the artist’s perspective over with… you can roll over and go back to sleep now 😉
It’s always a pleasure to ‘see’ how others appreciate art…I’m afraid I’m of the school ‘I don’t know much about art ~but I know what I like’ as I collect art for pleasure is exactly how it should be ..whether I’ve made an investment who knows at least I’ve had the joy of their presence in the cottage
And that is exactly the right reason to buy…To enjoy 😉
LOL…think I might be from the same school perhaps !!?!!
To this day I can’t believe you haven’t been discovered by a conglomerate who snap up all your artwork the moment it hits Etsy !!
WOW me neither LOL ;-D Maybe all conglomerates need to re shake their PA’s and search harder… Wouldn’t it be so nice though if someone did eventually find I had a half ounce of talent 😉 I would love to give it all over so Dearest could retire from all the harsh weather conditions!
Oh Caren I just LOVE THIS!!!!! Now, you drew the entire thing or was the template there? Please pardon my ignorance! DakotasDen
Thank you so much Caren 🙂 Absolutely NO templates involved at all…everything just falls from my mind and onto the paper! It’s just a complete adventure from start to finish each time I do one of these pieces 😉
This is incredible. You are so talented. I laughed when I read you do this for relaxation as this takes a lot of work. My relaxation is eating re-runs of Frasier. Ha ha.
Aww thank you Sue for your lovely comment 🙂 I suppose I can understand others would find this a strange relaxation – me and just a pencil is like heaven compared to watching TV for most of the time as Dearest does like to watch a lot of sport, though we do share a love of watching Alaska series on the discovery channel 😉 Overall I only watch TV around 2 hours/day tops and must confess to never having seen an episode of Frasier, though by the sounds of things maybe I should 😉
Ha ha. You should get into Frasier. It’s a fun show. Thanks for your lovely reply.
🙂 Sounds like I should trawl the sky menu and look it up!! goodness knows what I’m missing out on…but it sounds like a ”to do” mission ..which might just need a glass of wine too, I could be in for a whole new way of relaxation 😉
Yes but don’t do what I did last night Caren at my Chinese New Year party and drink a ‘little” bit too much.
Oh No ;-/ Hope you’re feeling a little better by now, though what the heck… it’s only Chinese New Year, once a year! Hope you had a great time 😉
Thanks Caren. Did have a good time and next day back into my walking and feeling better!!
That is so cool! My oldest son does pen drawings and this one reminds me of the type of thing he draws.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment 🙂 Sounds like your son enjoys exploring art too! This style is quite a new venture for me , but I am very much enjoying the new series of artworks 🙂
It is amazing to me how you do that. I tell him also. I think I did a post once that I showed one he had drawn.https://thechickengrandma.wordpress.com/2016/08/10/busyness-blessings/
Wow! That’s a busy piece!
Only portraying a busy mind lol 😉
🙂 Don’t think mine’s that neat 😉
LOL…Mine was on it’s best behaviour…I think 😉
It might be the random outpourings of your (slightly bonkers) mind, but it’s a very balanced piece, both in tone and composition. Says she, who knows next to nothing about art!
I love your comments Sheila..and feel at last, I have now reached true brain acknowledgement LOL 😉 You say you know nothing about art…though I think you are spot on in your opinion as to what I was hoping to achieve! All is now well in balance in my mind – maybe one day I might even sell the piece, but, if not, I still enjoy looking at it 😉
