The sun was shining, the sky was amazing and the flowers were blooming! The flower at the back even looks like its trying to fly off into the perfect day 😉 Our ten year old clematis is putting on the best show of its life so far! A few more pictures of our pergola, made by Dearest some years ago, plus a couple of close ups too ….
Too nice to keep all to myself… 😉
Rarely, if at all ever, in our garden has there been such a flower filled beautiful day!
Gorgeous captures of these beautiful flowers! I’m so glad you decided not to keep them to yourself. 🙂
Thank you so much Jackie, they are so wonderful this year and I just couldn’t miss getting a shot of them with that sky 😉
In my opinion, you should use these photos as reference photos and do some painting or drawing. 😉
There are definitely a couple to put into my ”to work on” folder – perhaps it is time to dust off my paintbrushes 😉 !
I think so! 😉
Look how blue the sky is down your way, stunning photos 🙂
I know, what an anomaly!!!!…. that NEVER happens in Bolton!!!! I checked to see if there was some kind of enhance button I might have mistakenly pressed, but, NO! It really was that colour :-D!!… could be another twenty years till we see it that colour sky again! For some strange reason, my camera works so much better outdoors, I can wobble about, even jump up and down and the picture quality is far superior to my careful indoor shots of my creations ;-/ Maybe I should just take everything I make outside to document!! LOL 🙂
You don’t think (Tom) Merlin had anything to do with the blue sky ?? you can’t have a warlock in your garden and not have any benefits surely
You could be right!!..after all reading from his tome, who knows what all those Celtic words mean ??? I think he must have overdone himself though, as the only colour he can muster today is grey ;-/
If it’s any consolation we have grey, cold & wet 😦
I’ll see if I can get Merlin/Tom to cast his spells down your way too 😉
It was…. for some strange reason!!! ;-/??? Sorry about that Jackie, I hadn’t actually checked my spam before you mentioned it – though I can’t understand why it went there anyway?!
No problem! For reasons no one can explain the spam catcher decides some comments are spam even after the commenter has been posting comments for awhile. It’s been going on for quite some time now and it’s quite random. In other words, there is no rhyme or reason why it picks certain comments and puts them in the spam folder. It’s just one of the weird quirks that WordPress is known to have.
😉
What a fabulous display! I bet the scent is heavenly too. I always think it’s a shame clematis can’t be a cut flower – it would be lovely in the house:)
…and, it seems to get better each day! Sadly, this variety doesn’t have much scent, not that that is putting off the bees 😉 They’re loving it too!!
