Forget me not 16.5.15 – OH I WON’T, DON’T YOU WORRY!!
– This little chap used to reside on our dining room fireplace hearth, which is actually really a coping stone, reclaimed by my Dearest, when we renovated our back room originally, with a Stonehenge theme! Though we still have our massive mural of Stonehenge, it has now become a more cosy space, and so, my poor little men…have now become ‘garden friends’ instead! But, I do go out and visit them almost everyday.
Having been so busy, over the past week or so, I had overlooked what was happening outside!! The weather has been wonderful, but I have been beavering away creating little ”outfits” for my daughter’s sea grass baskets – which she wanted cladding both inside and out! She commissioned me (FREE of charge of course – after all she is my daughter!) to cover six large baskets she had bought. So off I went into a little quandary, and created a pattern – more about that another time..!
Anyways…back to my garden!

Another of my long (house) departed friends! He seems to be busy reading to the Hydrangea and the Rhododendron behind him!
Sometimes we get so wound up in what we are doing we forget to look in our back yard! Nature is so busy being beautiful – and yet it doesn’t scream about it!! – It’s just there waiting to be quietly discovered! Β A new voyage of discovery everyday – if you have time!!
I can see TOM! I’m glad I’m not the only one to notice things like that – my family think I’m a little eccentric.
Your men look perfectly happy in the garden by the way:)
It was a sad day, when I let them go outside, though I do still have two little stone Druids either side of my hearth π
LOL! Aren’t all crafting ladies ;-)???
Your guardians really do take this gardening stuff seriously don’t they π the old adage of talking to your plants encourage them to grow does seem to be true, look at how well your flowers have come on ….it also transpires one of your garden keepers has had to draw your attention to the great outdoors by creating his name in foliage, what a cleaver guy LOL
There are some weird and wonderful happenings going on, I’ll admit! I think Merlin’s working his magic;-)
Poor Merlin must have been most anxious awaiting to see if his written word in flowers came into fruition …I didn’t even know Merlin’s Christian name was Tom !!!
Me neither ! Though I did wonder, if perhaps he was referring to the sword holding guardian guy ?? But another hypothesis…..he could have been trying to tell us about his tome and it’s scriptures??! – maybe Peppy’s waterings have interrupted the magic message??? LOL π
Hhahahahahahahaha
π
You have a lovely garden and it is growing so many beautiful things! Thank you for sharing. π
It is a space I greatly enjoy, especially as it is so private with all the greenery at the boundaries, for all Dear Andy’s hacking, since he took over my chief gardening role, there is still a surprising amount still trying to to its best! I think we have had just the right mix of weather conditions too, to produce some stunning results this year – plus the odd stone statue adds a little extra element π
I can see why you enjoy it! And thank goodness you have a garden left. It looks like it’s thriving. Like I said before – hide the garden tools! π
LOL! After bringing up two very demanding children, both for different reasons, you’d think I would have no problems! Sorting silly squabbling scraps is something quite strange – I think I might throw the plan of action in there to give them something to sedate them, whilst they chew over their new beginnings π
That sounds like a smart move!! π
Let’s hope π
π Whilst Andy was away again this weekend, finishing off his masterpiece bedroom for Jen and Alex, I did venture out and get the hoe for a bit of gentle gardening, though the weather inspired me more to use the camera, as you can see! I reckon if I just leave the hoe and hide the rest of the garden tools, it’s good damage limitation!! π
I think you are on to something as far the garden tools are concerned! π
I’ll keep you posted!…at least he has stayed away from the nesting areas too, the poor Blue tits are wearing themselves to a shadow of their former selves feeding their offspring this year, I wonder if their clutch is larger than usual??
I’m not familiar with Blue Tits but it’s very possible!
Only time will tell, I expect they will be ready to leave the nest in the next few weeks!
How cool – you have a front row seat!! π
They are a distraction I don’t mind at all!! π
