Variation on a theme of late….Place-mats and coasters this time!
Sometimes, in fact quite often, I question my sanity over my desire to make more than one of something, especially as each one has so much work involved from designing it to the finished creation…BUT…to eventually end up making 12 !?! six place-mats & six coasters (each and every one slightly different too) then hand quilt them all…and, as if that wasn’t enough I added tiny hand stitched flower borders to them all as well..not to mention hand stitching the binding down…I might have to think about upping my hourly work rate from a penny an hour…..;-/
At first, there was…a set of two……
….obviously I still didn’t think that was enough….So, off I went again…..
Then some more…..
In case you had any doubts about the 12……
Altogether now…. Colourful cotton table mats (including a 100% cotton wadding layer) AND fully washable too!
Perhaps, I’ll just sit and rock quietly in a corner for a while….;-)

I think I have been counting sheep long enough now though, I’m sure I can hear my button tins rattling…?!? it’s been a while and routing through them for my next creation will make a nice change 😉

I’m so glad you like my new Gravatar! It’s very cold right now so you are right about that. I love the coat I’m wearing in the picture! It keeps out the cold better than any winter coat I have ever had. 😀

A pay rise?! Any one would think we weren’t in the Victorian Age any more! You have my admiration for even attempting more than one of the same creation. I have no such self disciplne which is probably why nothing matches in my house….
LOL! I know…. what was I thinking???…quite above my own station to expect more ;-D To be honest, everything in our house is much the same, a complete mismatch of creations/art work and my Dearest’s carpentry skills on show in various cupboards and drawers – this is only the second time I have ventured into doing sets of things. I think I am much happier going for single creations even if they have many different parts to them! 🙂
