Combining some of my original ideas and patterns I decided to use some recent offcuts from my last project and create a colourful and cute fun tote. I never tire of my little sheep in pink wellies and they seemed just perfect for this new project. After forming the patchwork landscape I cut shapes from felt and hand stitched them into place….That little sheep is sooo proud of her little boots! 😉

Inside there is a useful multi pocket, with one large open pocket and a coordinating zip on the other, adding colour to the inside of the cream cotton interior.
Not wanting to miss the opportunity I decided to add a little sheep on the reverse as well…

The whole tote has been hand quilted, a little magnetic clasp for extra security on the centre flap and a few little heart buttons finish off the new design perfectly! A Pretty and practical and unique little creation! 🙂
A fun little cotton fabric tote made from a few offcuts, bits of felt, lots of stitches and little heart buttons 🙂
This is divine yet again! Is it going into your shop or do you have someone lined up for it already?
Thank you so much for your lovely comment 🙂 It is destined to be the first of a new line for my shop, I have a range of drawings which I thought I would make into little totes combining a couple of my designs into one new one. Just as I was going into full production….I received a pet portrait commission this morning, and so, they are temporarily on hold…meaning my little rag trade den is now re transformed into an art studio once more (after oh sooo much tidying)…More on the commission in the near future …;-)
What adorable totes!! I love the color and the sheep are fantastic. Wonderful work as always. 😀
Thank you so much Jackie for your lovely comments I have a few more ideas lined up in my head which I’ll start as soon as I’ve finished my pet portrait commission. Meanwhile, I’ve not had such a tidy workspace for a long while!!! 😉
I do so adore your imaginative take on sheep, how darn cute, if I had pink wellies I’d be strutting my stuff LOL alas I’m in the green welly brigade
Do you think a pink pair would have tongues a wagging as you strut across the village green…perhaps The Tangled Backwoods isn’t quite ready for this little fashion craze just yet ?!? LOL
Let me tell you I’m up market having wellies, still they sure make a change from wooden clogs handed down through the family ….trust me to get my dads he was a size 12 shoe, I’m a size 6 … D’oh
LOL What a vision you must be clip clopping along in those whoppers! I’m sure you must have adopted a graceful shuffling motion in order to get around?.. but, I can understand that green wellies are a much more practical everyday footwear for village life. A top tip from another eccentric artist I know….she buys tubes of acrylic paint to change her shoe colour almost every week, it was fine for the first couple of coats…but, after painting them for over two years they have taken on the look of little barge boats due to the hundreds of layers they now have permanently attached! Still, its keeping her legs in good shape walking with the added weight at the bottom and she doesn’t seem to have any leaks in them either!!!
😉
LOL Another eccentric artist you say ???? just when I thought we were in short supply 🙂 can you get said paint in day-glo colours ?? just think florescent wellies, how cool would they be, I’d be the envy of all the village ladies.
I’m saving the clogs for an emergency, one is already stuffed with essentials should there be a flood Beloved & I have a clog raft at the ready 🙂
I shall have to look into the day-glo option, but I’m sure its available somewhere!!! Just imagine…you could introduce the new craze in a church social evening gathering….though mind the village menfolk don’t think it is some whitchcraftery with glowing bootees, as they might see fit to bring out the dunking chair again!
I envisage you and Beloved,
………sailing off into the moonlight, as the Owl and the Pussycat in a giant wooden clog, whilst towing the emergency ration packed extra clog behind……..
what a lovely image 😉
Now that’s a romantic image to be sure …the sailing away not the ducking stool !! Let me tell you the last time I was treated to the stool it was a bit of a farce ….I was let off on a technicality.. there wasn’t enough water in the beck, so I was merely wheeled around the village in the chair…which was handy as able to chat to all the village ladies as I passed by to arrange a parade of the drunkards cloak http://images.idividi.com.mk/images/drunkards-cloak1.JPG
Oh wait that’s what got me the ducking stool punishment in the first place.
LOL! You seem to have caused yourself an endless loop 😀
