This painting is of my own Weimaraner, Peppy. Both the images are of him. I wanted to do a watercolour painting of him but couldn’t decide which image to use. In the end I combined both! Lovely image but scary thought – One Peppy is quite enough. As most Weimaraner owners would probably admit, they don’t think they are dogs, I actually do think He thinks he is human! Its almost like having a baby but it never grows up!! They are a beautiful but demanding breed. See other paintings/drawings of Peppy and his litter sister, Hettie in Animal portraits
I love your solution as to which pose to use. Now you have two dogs, congratulations! Beautiful painting.
Thanks Tim, Seriously though – Love him as I do -One Peppy is more than enough for any sane person! Loving your spring wildlife too 🙂
Thanks. I take it that Peppy is not just a name, but a description.
Wow Tim!
You know I never googled the name Peppy before – but oh My word It fits him like a glove! My son named him after a cartoon character he used to draw as a child ‘ Peppy The Puppet’ was his own illustration that he dreamed up and when we got our dog we wanted to have our son name him and make him feel he had his own dog (To Help with his Autism) I have always believed that people fit their name and vice versa never even thought it would apply to animals. It does!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Tim.
